Netflix temporarily shuts down production of original shows due to COVID-19

The COVID-19 virus spread has caused multiple difficulties in different work projects. Many people are now deciding to work from home or temporarily take a break from working. And as Trump declares a national emergency in America due to the virus spread, major TV production companies are now forced to comply with government restrictions.

With this, Netflix decided to temporarily shut down productions for America and Canadian shows. Fan-favorite shows have all halted their productions for the next two weeks. Stranger Things, which is now filming its 4th season, has decided to delay its pre-production stage.

Likewise, Riverdale has also decided to shut down its production in Vancouver. This comes after one of its production members has reportedly come in contact with a person who tested positive for COVID-19.

Netflix is not only the major production company to pause productions for their projects. Big TV production names like Disney and Apple have also decided to temporarily shut down their productions for their shows.
