On October 30, SM Entertainment confirmed that Doyoung will serve as an active member of the army while Jungwoo will join the army’s marching band. Both idols will enlist on December 8.
“There will be no official event on the day of his enlistment. As it is a space shared with many soldiers and their families, we kindly ask fans to refrain from visiting the site for safety reasons,” it read.
The label also asked for the fans’ love and warm support so both K-pop idols can carry out their military duties properly and return healthily.
Following the announcement of their military enlistment, Jungwoo will hold a fan meeting titled “Golden Sugar Time” at the Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Korea on November 28.
Meanwhile, Doyoung successfully concluded his solo Asia tour on October 9 to 11 with an encore show.
