Astrophiles, immerse yourselves and explore outer space without leaving Earth through the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration’s (PAGASA) free planetarium shows and telescope viewing sessions.

Running from August 10 to 13, 2026, at the PAGASA Planetarium in Science Garden, Quezon City, no reservations will be accepted for the celestial presentations, as seating will be strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.
The national weather bureau announced that the planetarium shows will feature four sessions a day, with the first presentation starting at 9:00 a.m. and the last session beginning at 3:00 p.m.
Aside from conducting free planetarium shows, PAGASA will also offer stargazers a chance to get a closer look at the stars through free telescope viewing on August 13, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the PAGASA Astronomical Observatory in UP Diliman; however, this event remains subject to weather conditions.

These events align with Proclamation No. 302, issued by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in 2023, declaring August 8 to 14 as the annual celebration of Philippine Space Week. The initiative seeks to promote space awareness and highlight the contributions of Filipinos worldwide to the field of science.
This year, the celebration’s theme is “Navigating Tomorrow,” reflecting the country’s drive toward a more informed, resilient, and future-ready nation through satellite development and the use of space data and services.
