Nadine Lustre has shut down rumors that something is amiss in her relationship with on- and off-screen boyfriend, James Reid.
As a guest on Tonight With Boy Abunda last Monday, August 5, Nadine cleared the air regarding speculations of their breakup when she was asked the following question from a Twitter user:
“Sabi nila kapag may usok, may apoy… sa tingin niya, bakit ba hanggang ngayon ay napapabalita pa rin nagkakalabuan o hiwalay na sila ni James Reid? #ItanongMoSaTWBA”
(“They say that when there’s smoke, there’s fire… in her opinion, why is it still being rumored that she and James Reid are not in good terms or have broken up?”)

“Bakit ba noong hindi pa kami, gustong-gusto niyo maging kami? Ngayong kami na, gusto niyo kaming paghiwalayin,” Nadine said in response. “Ano ba talaga? What do you want?”
(“Why is it that, when we weren’t together, you wanted us to be a couple? And now that we are together, you want us to break up. What is it really? What do you want?”)
Nadine also admitted that she would sometimes reply to negative comments but would always make sure to reply lightly or in jest to remain respectful to the commenter.
Just recently, she reacted to a comment on her Instagram post alleging that the two have separated for the sole reason that Nadine’s awards are no longer displayed in James’ home. Shocked by the ridiculousness of the accusation, Nadine said: “Uhm. [What the f***] are you talking about?”
