Mr. Jones in Greenbelt 5 – A Blast from the Past

While waiting for our meal to be served, I smelled truffle in the air and you never go wrong with that. Waiting on the table was a generous metallic basket of Truffle Fries.

The Truffle Fries at Mr. Jones is a good reminder that some food may be sinful but still worth taking the risk. It had large cuts of potatoes and chunks of braised-like meat, all bathing in a pool of melted cheese. On the side is gravy for the fries to dive into before it hits your mouth. Everything was soft, tender, and really cheesy. In simple terms, the way I liked it.

As we gobbled on the fries, our beverages arrived. We had Mr. Jones Frozen Flavored Iced Tea (one is strawberry, the other is bubble gum). Of course, we would not miss the milkshake so we also tried the Funky Monkey just because it sounds funny. No, I read it had Nutella so go figure. 🙂

Did you notice that metallic cup beside the milkshake? You may be wondering what that is. At Mr. Jones, they don’t throw away the excess from the preparation of your milkshake. They serve it too on this cup.

Now, on to the breakfast sets at Mr. Jones that we have tried.

The Challah French Toast (PhP 395) is a sweet surprise that you can wake up to in the morning. This tower of sugary power at Mr. Jones consists of a stack of French toast stuffed with Nutella and raspberry preserves. It is layered with two caramelized bananas then the last layer has two crispy bacon. Bacon, I thought so too. What better ending could there be, right?

Mr. Jones‘ Challah French Toast is both a great sight to see and meal to devour. Its beautiful appearance did not keep us from eating it all, top to bottom.
