A survey by the Social Weather Stations (SWS) found that 67% of adult Filipinos express love through acts of service, making it their top love language among the five.
It noted that such acts include cooking a meal, running errands, helping with chores, and fixing things around the house, even without being asked.
Following acts of service are words of affirmation and quality time, each preferred by 51% of respondents. Meanwhile, gift-giving is favored by 33%, and physical touch by 29%.

The survey also discovered that 46% of Filipinos are “very happy” with their love lives, marking a 12-point drop from 58% in December 2023. On the other hand, 36% reported they “could be happier,” and 18% had no love life.
“Compared to 2023, happiness with love life fell among both men and women across civil status, especially among men with live-in partners,” it stated.
