Although there is a sea of Molito Alabang restaurants at my disposal, something about ONO instantly pulled me in. With its vibe that is equal parts relaxed and electric, my inner beach girl automatically felt at peace.
Over several rounds of handrolls, poke bowls, island-inspired cocktails, and more; my friends and I can confidently say we didn’t just eat. We experienced what it actually means to “eat with aloha.”

As we settled into ONO, the intentionality of the space was obvious. It’s fresh, vibrant, and layered – and so is the food. Our top picks that you definitely need to try? Literally all of their delicious poke bowls, the insanely flavorful and addicting Luau Corn Ribs and Salmon Karaage, and their unique Kinilaw and Mean Greens (make sure to get your cameras ready for the presentation!).
After eating the delicious food, we became curious about the “how” and “why” behind the brand, and it turns out the story is as heartwarming as the service.
The Story Behind ONO
ONO Aloha Kitchen was born from a deep love for the Hawaiian islands and the spirit of aloha, which translates to cooking with care, respect, and genuine connection. Inspired by Hawaii’s rich, multicultural food culture; ONO brings together Japanese, Filipino, American, and other global influences that naturally shape the island’s cuisine.

What started as a vision to serve fresh, feel-good poke has grown into a space where people gather over thoughtfully prepared bowls, handrolls, small plates, and cocktails. At its core, ONO is about intentional cooking, quality ingredients, and food made to be shared.

Everything at ONO is inspired by the islands, and you can feel it in the ambiance. It’s warm and welcoming, designed so that you feel like you always have a table waiting for you, whether during the day or at night.

The flavors are a masterclass in balance as well. They draw from:
-
Multicultural roots: Bold Asian flavors meet comforting island-style dishes.
-
Technique: Clean Japanese methods keep everything fresh and vibrant.
-
Presentation: Intentional, colorful, and bright—just like the islands themselves.
It’s modern island dining that manages to be elevated without being pretentious. It’s approachable, fun, and highly social.
Why ONO Stands Out From Molito Alabang Restaurants
If you’ve ever seen the plethora of Molito Alabang restaurants over here, you know the competition is fierce. So, why should you try ONO? In a place where you have plenty of choices, ONO stands out as the go-to spot for modern island cuisine and elevated poke.
They aren’t just serving bowls. They’re offering a full experience. From their fresh handrolls to community-driven events, ONO brings new energy to the south. It’s that rare intersection where quality meets vibe. You get great food in a space that feels both laid-back and exciting.

From the North? No Need to Fret
If you aren’t a South girl like me, no need to worry either because the aloha is coming to you. ONO is preparing to reopen its branch at the RFM Corporate Center on Pioneer Street, Mandaluyong this March 2026. This new space will feature their signature offerings alongside a selection of those well-loved small plates we couldn’t stop ordering at the Molito branch. We can’t wait to visit!
