A senior dog who had been missing for 12 days surprisingly found his way back to safety at Project Kuna, the same animal rescue organization that had previously saved him.
Lolo Senior, a nine-year-old aspin (asong Pinoy), was rescued by Project Kuna after his previous owner surrendered him to a dog pound. He went missing on April 10 while under the care of his new adopter.

Project Kuna launched an extensive search for Lolo Senior, even offering a reward of up to P50,000. After days of searching, he was finally found when he crossed paths with one of the organization’s volunteers.
Lolo Senior is currently receiving medical care at a veterinary clinic. According to Project Kuna, he was found dehydrated, severely underweight, and covered in bite marks. Lolo Senior was also diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, pneumonia, and lung tumors, all while battling Ehrlichia and Anaplasma.
“His platelet count is critically low—only 5—putting him at high risk for bleeding and complications. Because of his heart condition, he’s at risk of congestive heart failure,” Project Kuna shared.
In a recent update, the organization noted that his heart disease has progressed to stage three. However, his blood levels are beginning to normalize, and the fluid in his lungs is slowly clearing.
Lolo Senior urgently needs donations, specifically Pimobendan 5mg, Fish Oil, Royal Canin Cardiac Dry, and Canned Food, as well as monetary contributions for his veterinary expenses.

Get well soon, Lolo Senior!
