Well into 2016, Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach is currently holed up in her fancy New York apartment, as she starts her one-year reign.
On the other side of America, however, it seems that a certain Colombian is still reeling from her loss.

Apparently, Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez, the first runner-up in the Miss Universe pageant, thinks that she and Pia should have been named as CO-WINNERS after the notorious Steve Harvey gaffe. Miss Colombia was initially mistakenly crowned as the winner for all of a few minutes, when Steve went back up the stage and admitted to the error, leading to a most unusual crowning moment for Pia.
Speaking to Colombian radio network W Radio, Miss Colombia believes that the incident was “a great shock” and a “great injustice”, and that the Miss Universe organization handled the flub less than ideally.
“They did not do things the right way. They could have done it, I don’t know, the next day in a press conference or a press release.
“
Ariadna believed that the gaffe was very humiliating for her, as well as for her country, the Colombians and all Latinos present in the auditorium that night.
And when asked about former Miss Universe owner Donald Trump’s suggestion that she and Pia should have been named co-winners, she responded:
“For the first time, I agree with him.”
HOLD. UP.
Still, the 21-year-old Colombian beauty was still looking on the bright side:
“I managed to make history, which I think is more important than winning the Miss Universe title.”
Regardless of what’s said and done, however, Pia is still the one with the crown, with a year’s worth of duties and responsibilities ahead of her. You go enjoy your reign, queen.

It’s not logical to proclaim co-winners just to compensate for an embarassing blunder. The results clearly showed that Philippines won Miss Universe. The judges themselves confirmed their votes. I feel for Ms Columbia. Give her time to heal. She will make a mark in history if she accepts defeat graciously and move on. We as Ms Universe fans should also move on and put this issue to rest.
I do not agree with her. If they were named co-winners, it will be unfair for Pia who worked so hard to achieve her dream. well, they all worked so hard but at the end of the day, only one winner shall be named. And to Ms. colombia, since when did you see two queens in one throne? get over yourself.
History of being bitter queen. She could’ve made history if she knows how to concede defeat. But she don’t, after posting on her Instagram that she’s the Queen, with hashtag back to back? Hahahahaha I pity her, you tube had a lot of reaction videos and all are negative to her. Why? She brought that to herself.
She made the history of mistakenly announced by the host as Miss Universe. During the time of correction she wants to keep the crown as if she is the real winner. She should be thankful even just a short period of time she has tasted to become a Miss Universe. For me being a Miss Universe have a beauty outside and also within.
Why Co Winners? Ariadne DID NOT, REPEAT DID NOT WIN ! Because of a stupid mistake made by Emcee Harvey, she was named Miss Universe erroneosly….. Move on Colombia! Move on all Latin American candidates who think they;ve been cheated. The Latina in me is getting embarrassed at how you keep harping & harping about this/ Philippines won fair & square, you lost & now it is obvious why you all lost. MALA COSTUMBRE, MAL EDUCADAS, SIN VERGUENZAS!
