Our next dish is the Tempura Maki. Hearty chunks of shrimp with sushi rice wrapped in toasted nori, topped with their savory miso sauce, then torch grilled to perfection. Apart from the beautiful and colorful presentation, this dish is an absolute delight to your taste buds.

Their savory miso sauce once again did the trick. This time in complement to the crisp grilled nori and delectable shrimp. This serving is good for 3-5 persons, but it was so delicious I ate about half of it myself.

For our last dish, here is the Usuyaki Steak. A dish with bean sprouts wrapped with thin slices of juicy beef steak. Moving from the seafood Japanese dishes, this one offers a different kind of delicious as it feature sumptuous slices of tender beef steak.

We are now off to our dessert treat — coffee jelly with vanilla ice cream! You would think this is just another dessert, but I would like to say that this was the highlight of our Minami Saki Japanese dining experience. Check out this fabulous presentation.
Coffee Jelly with Vanilla Ice Cream
That must be the most elegant coffee jelly dessert I’ve ever had!
Their wasabi creme brulee is also a famous original of Minami Saki. A must-try when you visit their restaurant!
Minami Saki also released their fresh series of cocktails recently — sake mojito, sake basil mojito, sake lemon grass, and sake ginger ale. All of which have only a minimal amount of alcohol, just the right pair for your fine Japanese meal.
Minami Saki’s kitchen is headed by the Chef Kimito Katagiri, renowned for his decades of experiences in the line of exquisite Japanese cuisine. Overall, this restaurant is surely a haven for Japanese foodies! Visit them at Astoria Plaza Ortigas and they will definitely give you a one of a kind Japanese dining experience.
