On July 12, Sparkle GMA Artist Center called Mika a ‘Big Winner with a Big Heart’ following her good deed, which made many fans and viewers proud.

“After donating her entire ₱1M prize to ‘Duyan ni Maria’ orphanage, #PBBCelebrityCollabEdition Big Winner Mika Salamanca continued her outreach by visiting a community of elderly residents to extend her gratitude and compassion,” Sparkle wrote.

In an online interview with GMA, the 24-year-old content creator revealed why she opted to donate her PBB winnings to Duyan Ni Maria Children’s Home, an orphanage based in Mabalacat, Pampanga.

“To be honest po, wala naman po talaga sa list ko gawin sa Bahay ni Kuya ang pagiging big winner. Pero in my head, if a miracle happens and manalo dahil sa taong bayan (To be honest, becoming the Big Winner was never really on my list of things to achieve in Kuya’s house. But in my head, I thought—if a miracle happens and I win because of the people), I want to give the winnings kasi for me to feel like I actually deserve it,” she shared.

She added: “I want to give it back to the people who put me here in the first place.”

Fans praised the actress for her generosity and big heart, flooding social media with love and support.

“[Mika] never changed her heart despite all the challenges in her life,” one fan wrote.

“Big winner indeed! Such a kind soul,” another social media user commented.
