Imagine Cup is the world’s premiere student technology competition hosted by Microsoft which encourages students around the world to use their passion, creativity and knowledge of technology to come up with innovations that can help solve global challenges and make a huge impact in society.
Every year over 325,000 students from 100 countries take part in the competition but only a few are selected to compete in the final round. After 2 rigorous rounds of competition, Team Divided By Zero from De La Salle College of St. Benilde won the Local Finals held at the SM Megatrade Hall last March 23 2012. The team will represent the Philippines in the World Finals, where they will present their project, KidCamp, a software application which aims to help improve tools for Special Education, and compete with other students from around the globe.
Each year, the world votes for the Imagine Cup Finalist entry that provides the best solution to the world’s toughest problems. The People’s Choice Award is the only award in the Imagine Cup where the winning team is chosen by the general public. The winning team will be announced on-stage during the World Finals in Sydney, Australia on July 10, 2012. And currently, the Philippines is competing with over 60 teams from the around the globe on this category.
And of course, we would like every Filipinos to be part of this cause by showing support to the Philippine team by:
