Last July 20, Michael V. announced to the public through a vlog that he had tested positive for COVID-19. He recently updated fans on his condition, assuring them that he is recovering.
“I am getting better. Hindi pa rin 100% [Not yet 100%] but I am getting better,” he told Nelson Canlas on 24 Oras this Wednesday.
“Hindi naman ako nahirapan huminga. ’Yung pagod, ’yun medyo mabilis,” he continued. [I do not have a hard time resting. But I do get tired easily.]
The comedian shared that in terms of healing, he is following the advice of his friends: “Kahit anong advice ng kakilala namin tina-try namin. Wala naman mawawala. Basta be active pero ’di sobra to the point na papagurin mo sarili mo.”
[Whatever advice we receive from those we know, we try. We have nothing to lose. Just be active but not to the point that you tire yourself out.]
Michael V. also shared that testing positive for the virus was hard on him as he had to be isolated from his family and could only wave at them through the window in his room.
“Mahirap talaga. Malungkot talaga,” he said emotionally. [It’s really hard. It’s really sad.]
To end, he thanked everyone who offered support and prayers during one of the hardest times of his life.
