Fans enjoyed Rogue One: A Star Wars Story even if it was a stand-alone film of the Star Wars franchise. And it was good. But there are things we miss from the franchise, like its characters. Our favorite? Chewbacca, Han Solo’s Wookie friend. Since the first film in 1977, he charmed viewers with his loyalty, furry cuteness, and Shyriiwook, the Wookie language. Chewbacca was absent in Rogue One, but here he is singing the Christmas song “Silent Night”!

Watch the video below:

The video was created in 1999 by musician Scott Anderson. To make the audio, Anderson searched for all the Chewbacca clips he could find online (at a time when Google was only a year old) and tweaked them using an audio editing software. According to him, “I simply inserted the clip of the correct pitch at the correct spot in the music.”

Since then, Anderson and his officemates would play the audio every December. It then became a viral hit.

Merry Christmas, everyone!
