Young actress Ysabel Ortega is ready to make her name known in every household.
Ysabel comes from the notable Ortega clan, her mother being former actress-singer Michelle Ortega, her father being Senator Lito Lapid, and her uncle being actor and politician Robert Ortega.
Ever since she signed on to be a talent of Star Magic, ABS-CBN’s talent management arm, Ysabel has been steadily solidifying her presence in the local showbiz industry, appearing in many television shows including “On The Wings of Love,” “Born for You,” and “Pusong Ligaw” where she rose to fame for portraying the main antagonist Charlie Quiñones.
She then transferred to GMA in 2019 where she will eventually land the role in the much-awaited upcoming Filipino remake of “Voltes V,” Jamie Robinson — a.k.a. the headstrong female pilot of the Voltes Team.

“Voltes V has a lot of meaning to its story. it’s not just about family, it’s also about fighting for what you believe in. It’s about serving your country, it’s about being a hero in your own way. And I would love to be someone who is in that position to inspire a lot of people,” she said in an interview with the evening news show 24 Oras.
Ysabel also revealed to have trained in martial arts, including kickboxing, to prepare for the role.
There’s no word yet when “Voltes V: Legacy” will premiere, but one thing’s for sure: we’ve got our eyes locked on her.
