Manila Mayor Isko Moreno will star in a movie that is going to be an entry to this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
He will be acting alongside Ang Probinsyano star Coco Martin.
The movie the two will be in is called 3pol Trobol: Huli Ka Balbon, which will be shown in theaters on Christmas Day.
In an ABS-CBN interview, Moreno said that he will be playing “as himself” — a city mayor.
He expressed gratitude for being part of the movie. “I am grateful to Mr. Coco Martin and the staff… (that) they included me in the movie.
Mga ano lang naman, a few scenes,” he said.
Moreover, he said that he wants his talent fee to be directly given to the Philippine General Hospital (PGH).
“Sabi ko sa kanila, ibigay nila sa PGH (Philippine General Hospital) ‘yung yadba (bayad) nila sa akin,” he said.
The actor-turned-politician revealed that he also misses acting.
However, the mayor is hopeful that people will not to take this as a form of publicity.
“I hope I will not offend anybody later on that if you see my face in billboards, it has nothing to do with (propaganda). Basta importanteng maliwanag lang tayo. Sa madaling salita, trabaho lang ‘yun. Hindi ko naman ibinubuhat ang bangko sa inyo… ‘Ni singko doon wala akong pinakinabangan, at the very least,” he said.
