Maxine Medina Is Open To Getting An Interpreter for Miss Universe

Maxine Medina isn’t fooling around when it comes to Miss Universe.

The Miss Universe Philippines titleholder said that she was open to getting an interpreter for the competition if it would give her an edge in winning.

Maxine told ABS-CBN News:

“I’m here to win. Kung kailangan ko ng translator, kukuha ako.”

The beauty queen has been criticized by netizens who claim that she has poor English and communication skills.

If Maxine does end up having an interpreter onstage, she would be the first Philippine representative to do so in Miss Universe history.

However, as former candidates such as Ariella Arida and Venus Raj have revealed, it’s not up to them to decide if they would get an interpreter as Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) would have the last say.

Do you think Maxine should get an interpreter for Miss Universe?
