After almost two and a half years, the iconic luxury hotel Makati Shangri-la, Manila is finally opening its doors again. The five-star hotel made its announcement on its social media pages, saying it will be ready to “welcome guests back” on August 8, 2023.

Makati Shangri-la temporarily shut down operations in January 2021, announcing the news on its socials, while paying tribute to its staff and team:
“Before we temporarily close our doors, we pay tribute to our hardworking team behind the iconic Makati Shangri-La, Manila. The colleagues who deliver the sincerest hospitality from the heart to our guests each and every day. […]
We thank you for being a part of our journey, and may our paths cross again in the not-so-distant future when we usher in a new beginning for Makati Shangri-La, Manila. #iLoveShangriLa”
