Tali sells watches that are handmade by artisans based in Bacolod and in Manila. They partner with Woven Joy (@wovenjoy), an NGO that works with artisans in the Philippines to produce and sell high-quality handwoven friendship bracelets. Each sold product helps provide for some basic needs of the artisans and their families such as food, shelter, clothing, medicine, and education.
Andrea de la Torre, the founder, wrote, “My favorite part about making these watches is when I hear people say they’d love to give it as a gift for the special people in their lives. So far, half of all the Tali watches sold were given as gifts, or brought together by a group of friends and sisters.”
I appreciate Tali because of how customizable it is.  Choosing a watch for yourself or for your loved one is fun because of all the colors that you could choose from.

The Haiyan Unity Bracelets or Kinamot Nga Buhat is a social enterprise based in Tacloban. Their advocacy is to help provide a source of income for typhoon survivors.

Kinamot nga Buhat” means “handmade” in English. “It started with the childhood tinkering of Danika Christyn C. Astilla-Magoncia, the company’s head jewelry designer. It grew with the support and encouragement of Niña Bañez-Cerdiña, a childhood friend of Danika. The two teamed up to develop a jewelry label that supports labor welfare for marginalized workers in Tacloban City. Kinamot nga Buhat pieces strive to mirror the Waray aesthetic and psyche. Inspiration from designs come from everyday local things like Linara nga Banig, or the Woven Mat. All our pieces are handmade by our partner-workers,” they wrote.

We’re giving away the black bracelet, too! Just join the Rafflecopter giveaway below:
