After news broke out that Edu Manzano and Cherry Pie Picache are now an official item, Edu’s son Luis Manzano opened up about how he first learned about the couple’s romance and what his initial reaction was.
In an interview with G3 San Diego on her YouTube channel last November 29, 2021, Luis admitted to having been “caught off-guard” by the announcement as he felt that no one, not even Edu and Cherry Pie themselves, ever expected a romance to blossom between them.
“Sobrang we were caught off-guard. No one saw it coming. I don’t even think Dad and Tita Pie saw it coming,” Luis had said.
Luis then shared how a friend had sent him a picture of the couple on a date which had led to him confronting his father about it.
“I think a friend of mine took a picture of them and he sent me a picture. He was with Dad and Tita Pie. Date night yata sila,” he said. “So I sent the picture back to Daddy. I said, ‘Daddy, happy boy ka!’ Sabi niya, ‘Yes anak, happy.’”
Luis then confirmed that Edu is “happy” with Cherry Pie and, just by looking at their pictures traveling around the United States, we can definitely see that they’re completely head-over-heels in love with each other!

Edu and Cherry Pie are currently starring in the primetime show “Marry Me, Marry You” alongside Janine Gutierrez and Paulo Avelino.
