LOOK: This Fan Art of the Pinoy Version of “Encanto” Is a True Gift

If you’ve already seen “Encanto”, the newest heartwarming musical film from Disney, then you’re probably already obsessed with it—just like millions of people around the world. Of course, with the film being set in Colombia and featuring the country’s culture, you might have also noticed a few similarities with Filipino culture.

It’s not a surprise that many “Encanto” fans have started adding a Pinoy twist to the movie—including Tagalog versions of the movie’s hit songs.

Now, we can also see what a Pinoy cast of “Encanto” would look like thanks to the talents of Junrel Bardon, a digital artist from San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.

In a post on Bardon’s Facebook page, we are treated to fan art featuring what looks like the perfect Pinoy versions of the Madrigal sisters. In Bardon’s version, Nadine Lustre is the perfect golden child Isabela, Maine Mendoza is Mirabel, and Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz is no other than Luisa.

Check out the fanart below:

Bardon shares that Nadine Lustre was the first person he thought of when he considered a Filipino version of the Madrigal sisters.

He’s also set to release a new set of fan art featuring the Pinoy dream cast of the rest of the Madrigal family. We’re super excited to see how it turns out, especially since he created the Pinay Madrigal sisters so perfectly.
