LOOK: This Couple Had Their Wedding Reception at a Jollibee

Jollibee is still a huge part of Pinoy’s lives even when they’re overseas. This Pinoy couple in California took that love for Jollibee to the next level by celebrating their wedding there.

Angelica San Felipe and Robin San Felipe shared photos of their beautiful Jollibee wedding reception which instantly gained shares and likes on social media.

Sharing their story with WhenInManila.com, Angelica reveals that they first met in Ateneo back in 2010 but became even closer when they both found each other in the States after both migrating.

“There’s always a longing for that familiarity in culture, and we found that in our friendship. That friendship just continued to evolve beautifully to where we are at now – husband and wife,” Angelica says.

And what better way to celebrate their love and Pinoy culture than a Jollibee wedding?

They decided to have a civil wedding ceremony on February 2, 2022 (or 2/2/22) because of the lucky date, but they’re also planning on having another church wedding with their friends and family.

The civil ceremony was held at the City Hall in San Francisco and they celebrated their union by having a feast at a Jollibee branch in Daly City, California!

“We chose Jollibee because it is such a special place for both Robin and I even before we started dating. When we were still friends, we would hang out at Jollibee either after a long day at work or after a workout to just talk about life,” shares Angelica. “Jollibee is the spot where we checked all of the stages needed in our relationship: friends to best friends to being a couple to now being married.”

“I guess that’s really the reason behind our celebration here aside from the fact that we LOVE their spicy Chickenjoy,” she adds. “Oh when we’re still friends, I would often give him that crispy skin.”

Angelica also shares that it felt a bit weird at first to wear a wedding dress and a suit inside Jollibee, but it did end up being one of the best meals they ever had. Their Jollibee wedding feast included two buckets of Chickenjoy, palabok and spaghetti platters, peach mango pies, and banana langka pies (a menu item that’s, unfortunately, not available in the Philippines).

We love how personal their intimate wedding celebration was! As Kdrama lovers, they even took a “sharing a drink” photo inspired by Weightlifting Kim Bok Joo.
