Although life can sometimes be unpredictable, there are things within our control that can help improve our “luck,” such as strategizing and preparing for what may lie ahead, especially when it comes to our finances.
This is what this new, unique game that’s coming this month is all about—life, luck, and making bright financial choices. Called Play for Life: A Game of Choices, the game simulates real-life challenges, presenting you with different situations and opportunities that could either help or prevent you from reaching your financial goals and winning the game.

Play for Life: A Game of Choices was developed by Sun Life, the first and longest-standing life insurance company in the Philippines. The game was created to help educate Filipinos on financial literacy and help them achieve lifetime financial security and live healthier lives. During the game, players are empowered to make bright choices while navigating its ups and downs, with the help of a Partner for Life like Sun Life.
It’s very similar to board games you probably played growing up, which involved rolling a dice and moving pieces across a board to win. And, as with any game, Play for Life: A Game of Choices also involves strategy. How do you reach the goal without losing all your funds?

To start the game, players define their life goals and pick a character. Each character represents a career. To play, players roll the dice to determine which square to move their characters to. The aim is to keep progressing across the board and accumulating funds.
But watch out! There are challenges waiting as you move through the game. You might land on spaces that present you with Life Wins, which gives you advantageous opportunities, Life Happens which are challenges, or difficult Life Choices, which will force you to make critical financial decisions.
This game will test your skills in managing different circumstances, and the player who uses their accumulated funds most strategically and reaches the life goal first wins.
