LOOK: Possibly World’s Biggest Natural Pearl Found in Palawan

A 34 kilogram natural giant pearl was handed over to the local government of Puerto Princesa, Palawan after being kept for the past 10 years under a fisherman’s bed.

The fisherman’s aunt, Aileen Cynthia Maggay-Amurao, first posted it on her Facebook page and wrote:

“The Puerto Princesa City would likely earn another prestigious title and a record breaker for having the WORLD’S BIGGEST NATURAL GIANT PEARL FROM A GIANT CLAM (34 Kilograms) after being certified for its authenticity. Just for the info of everyone, all recorded giant pearls in the world came from Palawan Waters.”

The current record title holder of the world’s largest pearl was also found in Palawan back in 1939. If proven authentic, this 34 kilogram giant pearl is estimated to value possibly more than 100 million USD.
