Parishioners in Parokya ni San Ildefonso de Guiguinto in Pampanga still celebrated mass despite the flood inside the church.

Photos of parishioners inside the church quickly became viral on social media. In the photos, we can see parishioners wearing face masks and face shields celebrating mass even if the church was flooded due to the typhoon.

The Parokya ni San Ildefonso de Guiguinto Facebook account reposted the photos with the caption, “The Filipino spirit is waterproof.”

According to the post, the flood would not stop the faith of their parishioners. The parishioners still celebrated the Feast Day of their patron saint, “Apung Paeng” or Saint Raphael the Archangel.
