Milk tea is such a huge undying craze that it isn’t really surprising that so many different milk tea-inspired products have been appearing in the market. We’ve tasted milk tea donuts recently, but this is the first time we’ve come across and tasted a milk tea LOAF. And spoiler alert: IT IS DELICIOUS!!! So delicious, in fact, that my family ate the whole thing in one sitting – and this includes my dad, who isn’t even a milk tea fan to begin with.

Jemuel and Thea Dagu-ob are a brother and sister team working from their humble abode in Bacoor, Cavite. They began their brand, For the Love of Flour, out of a ridiculous idea that Jemuel had one night after praying the rosary with their family. “What if I made a loaf cake that tastes and looks like milk tea?” he thought.
Jemuel shares that he has always had an inclination to food and cooking, thanks to his mother and lifetime role model. Over the pandemic, he got the chance to work on various recipes, and Thea eventually suggested that they turn their passion for food into something productive to keep themselves moving despite these hard times. After many discussions and brainstorming, they came out with the Bubble Dazzler Supreme.

One thing you should know about this tandem is that they don’t actually have an oven for baking. Can you believe it? They make all of their orders on a stove top in a large wok over an open flame. “It’s extremely unpredictable, and every single batch is “baked” with our fingers crossed,” Jemuel admits. “It can be very inefficient, but that’s what we have and we make it work somehow.” Now that’s what we call passion! As the brand grows, they hope of upping up the ante of their production means by investing in proper baking equipment and tools.

For the Love of Flour delivers around NCR and neighboring areas via Lalamove. They also assure that the quality of their food isn’t compromised, no matter the distance. They have tried and tested this by delivering all the way to Marikina!
Each Bubble Dazzler Supreme order is made the same day it is shipped out, but is best consumed within two days after it’s received. (Trust me, though: it won’t last that long!) It can be eaten as is or microwaved for 20-30 seconds if you’d prefer it warm.
