After confirming that she will be playing the role of Valentina in the much-awaited “Darna: The TV Series,” Janella Salvador proved to friends and fans how fitting she is to play the iconic character by playing with her new pet snake in front of the camera.
“Hello, world. Meet Versace, my 5-month old baby girl,” Janella said on her Instagram post, sharing pictures she took holding her pet.

According to Janella’s boyfriend Markus Paterson in an interview with Kapamilya Chat, Janella had bought the snake after bagging the role of the Serpent Queen in the television show. He admitted that he was the one who suggested the idea to own the pet a few months back but Janella had said no in fear of their son’s safety. “Matagal na akong may admiration for reptiles. I’ve always wanted to buy a snake for the house,” Markus said. Eventually, the tables turned and it was Janella who decided to get the snake once and for all.
“Tuwang-tuwa siya do’n. She loves [Versace], honestly. I knew she would but she was just scared,” Markus added.
Janella will be playing opposite Jane De Leon, who plays Darna in the upcoming ABS-CBN show. She was last seen in the hit series “The Killer Bride” in 2020. Valentine serves as her comeback role after a brief break from showbiz to give birth to her baby Jude.
