Heart Evangelista sure is keeping busy during the enhanced community quarantine. Apart from posting entertaining videos on TikTok, she opened her DMs on Twitter to allow followers to message her and ask for any kind of assistance—medical, financial, or for relief goods. Now, she’s working together with her husband, Governor Francis “Chiz” G. Escudero, to donate bed foams and pillows to give to Sorsogon residents who got stranded at checkpoints. The supplies were given by Uratex, which Heart endorses.

Heart announced the news on Instagram, saying, “My husband Chiz and I are sending these soon with love. More bed foams from Uratex Premium and pillows donated by our friends for our dear Sorsoganons to give them comfort after being stranded at checkpoints!”

Two weeks ago, Chiz organized a sweeper team to fetch stranded Sorsoganons. According to the Sorsogon Provincial Information Office (SPIO), about 60 residents were reported stranded at the borders of Quezon, Camarines Norte, and Camarines Sur. Some of them did not have food or a place to sleep for two days.

Chiz said, “We will not allow Sorsoganons to remain refugees and will help them get home.”
