What happens if “The Last Of Us” was set in the Philippines?
One year after they went viral for their “All Of Us Are Dead” photoshoot, these group of friends once again collaborated to recreate scenes from critically acclaimed series and winner of the Game of the Year Award (2013), “The Last of Us”.
Set in the group’s alma mater San Pedro Relocation Center National High School once again, the shoot had their own version of Joel and Ellie fighting off a group of zombies, all of whom looked so real that one would have thought that they had actually been part of the HBO show.
“We’ve decided to create this photoshoot on the same location with the same purpose of showcasing our alma matter during the new normal and the on going Face-to-face classes, the game featured the collision of both nature and modern buildings/infrastructures which our school perfectly represents,” shared creator Shane Brian Dorol with WhenInManila.com.
He added that it was their group’s way of honoring the memory of their friend who passed last year who had been part of their “All Of Us Are Dead” pictorial.
“[It was also] for us to catch up with our own lives and to bond together again after conquering a very difficult year. It also serves as a memoriam to our friend, Charise Sanchez, who passed away last November 22, 2022, [who] portrayed “On Jo” on our “All of us dead” inspired pictorial,” he said.
The whole shoot was captured by photographers Luis Adam Tabuena and Reiza Eunice Dolores. Makeup and prosthetics were done by Dorol himself and Shaina Mae Aurestila.
“I believe that with this photoshoot, we are able to present that with imagination, we are able to be creative with any materials and any location that we can access by innovating and utilizing them,” Dorol ended.
