Nokia 3310 e1487321488174

A roofing contractor from England named Kevin Moody claimed to have found an old Nokia 3310 sitting in his old drawer that is still turned on after 20 years of being left there. What is more mind-blowing is that the phone still has 70%, according to chesterbugle.com.

However, this story is not true.

Apparently, chesterbugle.com is a site that publishes satire content. It is known to publish stories with ridiculous headlines that seem to defy reality.

It is a satire site after all.

The site has a satire disclaimer on the ‘about page’ which reads:

The Chester Bugle is a satirical news website, written by a bunch of nut jobs. It’s not actual news, even though it may look like it to some people.

If you read something that gets you all het up and in a twizzle, calm your tits – it’s almost certainly made up. Feel free to share stories from this website, but do so in the knowledge they’re written as jokes or satirical comment on the world’s affairs – nothing more.

So, no, the story is made up. Still, we looked up and according to mobile phone specs site gsmarena.com, has a standby time of “55 h to 260 h,” which is still very far from 20 years mentioned in the original story.
