Even after they admitted in an interview with GMA’s “Mars Pa More” show that they were ready to take their relationship “to the next level,” celebrity couple Derek Ramsay and Andrea Torres shocked fans and followers online when they had suddenly removed all their photos together on Instagram this week.
Rumors began to circulate about their sudden breakup which led to many netizens throwing accusations at Derek, whom they assumed was the cause of the breakup.
The actor defended himself in a few comments that spoke ill of him and criticized him for moving on to other girls so often.
“Every girl na nila-loveteam sa kanya ay nagiging GF niya (Every girl who gets paired up with him becomes his girlfriend),” one netizen said.
“There is no truth to what you are saying,” Derek replied. “Andrea is the only leading lady that became my GF.”
“Tapos na po tikman (He’s done after getting a taste of her),” added another.
“Bastos (How vulgar),” Derek answered.
“I think he’s not into marriage,” claimed another.
“I think you are wrong,” Ramsay said.
He also responded to a few that were degrading his ex-girlfriend, Joanne Villablanca, with whom he was in a long-term relationship prior to Andrea. “There is nothing wrong with being a single mom. That is actually something you should admire,” he replied to a comment that was comparing Andrea to Joanne in terms of physical looks and Joanne’s having children despite not being married. “I know you are just defending Andrea but [please] do it naman without being hurtful,” Derek continued.
He later confirmed the breakup in his reply to another comment where he also shut down third-party rumors.
“There is nothing wrong with Andrea. She is a great woman. There is no third party,” he wrote. “The breakup has happened so fast. maybe 2 people are just not meant to be. [Please] respect us nalang. We shared our love to all of you sana naman (I just hope) we can keep this to ourselves.”
He then said that he will continue defending Andrea if he ever hears “lies” being spread about her.
