LOOK: Bocaue LGU buys vegetables from Cordillera to be distributed as relief goods

The local government unit of Bocaue headed by Mayor Joni Villanueva purchased vegetables from farmers in Cordillera, which they will distribute as relief goods to residents.

Mayor Villanueva posted on Facebook:

(Rough translation: Mayor Joni Villanueva learned about the condition of the farmers in Cordillera. Most of the vegetables that they harvested can’t be sold and most just rot due to the lockdown implemented, farmers are seeking for help.

Mayor Joni bought the vegetables to help the farmers. Additionally, these can be included in the relief goods that they will give to residents of Bocaue. These include healthy vegetables such as cabbage, carrots, chayote, potatoes, and brocolli. This way, it’s like hitting two birds with one stone.

The farmers were happy and thankful that the mayor decided to buy their products at reasonable prices.)

Kudos, Mayor Joni and to the Bocaue LGU!
