The staging of Dear Evan Hansen in Manila is one of the most anticipated events of the year, and we now have the official cast!
GMG Productions officially announced the full cast for the Manila season of the international tour.
Playing the role of Evan Hansen is Ellis Kirk.
Kirk was previously in the stage adaptations of Back to the Future and Heathers, as well as Two Strangers.
Joining him are Rebecca McKinnis as Heidi Hansen, Zoë Athena as Zoe Murphy, Helen Anker as Cynthia Murphy, Hal Fowler as Larry Murphy, Rhys Hopkins as Connor Murphy, Tom Dickerson as Jared Kleinman, and Olivia-Faith Kamau as Alana Beck, with Sonny Monaghan serving as the alternate Evan Hansen.
Rounding out the company are Jake Halsey-Jones, Sheri Lineham, Joseph Peacock, Annie Southall, and Ashlyn Weekes.
Kirk and McKinnis previously appeared in Dear Evan Hansen in London’s West End, while Anker was part of the Asian tour of Mamma Mia!.
Dear Evan Hansen tells the story of Evan, an anxious high school student longing for a sense of belonging. When a misunderstanding spirals into something far bigger than he ever imagined, he faces an impossible decision: tell the truth and lose everything or embrace a lie that brings him closer to the life he has always dreamed of. As the story unfolds, Evan navigates the complexities of truth, connection, and self-acceptance in a world that often feels isolating.
Dear Evan Hansen is recognized as one of the most impactful musicals of the past decade. It won four Tony Awards, including Best Musical, the Olivier Award for Best New Musical, and the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album.
The UK touring production will open this September at The Theatre at Solaire. The UK touring production enjoyed a celebrated run, playing in 32 venues across the United Kingdom.
GMG Productions also recently announced a final extension to the Manila season due to the overwhelming response from Filipino audiences. The production will now run from September 4 to October 5, 2025, at The Theatre at Solaire.
