Take on a new adventure with brush calligraphy and collage art. And gain the courage to write the story you want your life to tell.
On Saturday 24th June, you will get to do both in the event, Life Stories: Transform your curiosities into works of Art” at the GK Enchanted Farm. Organized by MAD (Make A Difference) Travel and Where to Next, this event offers you the chance to develop your brush calligraphy skills with expert Micole Tam, while also taking a collage art workshops with Where to Next founder Rachel Halili.
What makes the event truly unique, however, is your surroundings. You’ll spend the day at the GK Enchanted Farm, a 42-hectare farm-village-university and hub for social enterprises which has attracted people from all over the world to find their passion and purpose in the Philippines. Home to social enterprises such as Plush and Play, Bayani Brew and First Harvest, the Enchanted Farm is a unique destination where people from across the world – rich and poor – come together to build businesses which leave no one behind.
In the morning, you’ll get to explore the beautiful grounds of the Enchanted Farm, listening to inspiring talks from resident entrepreneurs (local and foreign) and young scholars who, having grown up in poverty, are today building social businesses at the Farm.
In the afternoon, you’ll get to take on a new adventure with your pen through a Calligraphy Workshop with Micole Tam. This travel-themed workshop is a comprehensive basic course in brush calligraphy that aims to enhance your creativity and bring back your love for writing as you take inspiration from the GK Enchanted Farm.
Later in the afternoon, you’ll take an art Collage Workshop which will teach you to get crafty and make collages using photos from Where To Next’s adventures. We’ll end the day with a short passion and purpose workshop led by MAD Travel followed by sunset cocktails around the infinity pool.
