Life of Pie: The Bickering Couple
I’d like to share a story about me and my pies.
One cloudy afternoon, I heard a knock at my door. I opened it, finding a couple who greeted me with a box of twelve good-looking pies. I felt ecstatic at the sight of it. After we exchanged greetings, they gave me the box and placed the precious thing on top of our dining table.
Who knew that these sweet and savory pies would come from these two bickering couples?
A few moments passed and I still ogled at the shiny finish of the pastry, wondering what wonderful fillings I would find inside.
The pie that caught my attention first was the shepherd’s pie. I think it’s because of the generous amount of mashed potato on top of its herby ground beef base.
 The mashed potato on top was so smooth and creamy I mistook it as whipped cream!
Next in line is the humble-looking steak pie. Filled with cubes of tasty steak, Â this pie is as good as lunch (or breakfast, or dinner)!
Don’t let its simple looks deceive you; it’s filled with meaty goodness. Â
For dessert, I automatically went for the s’more pie – a rich pie of delicious chocolate goo that oozes out as you bite it, and the pillowy surprise of marshmallow, topped with kisses.
I’ll have s’more of this, please!
After hours of working, I went to the fridge to grabbed the perfect snack that would brighten up my day: the classic apple pie. Paired with coffee or tea, this pie of perfectly caramelized apples and cinammon taste will get you smitten with just one bite.
My favorite by default, the timeless apple pie.Â
In the end, the life of pie is not that long. It is a short one, designed to fulfill the need of a hungry woman craving for something worthy to devour. These pies have served me well and will continue serving others well through their creators, The Bickering Couple.
