What a wonderful opportunity it could be for a child to go to school and learn. Education is deemed important especially for a child’s growing years, and to be able to provide that is already an amazing blessing.
Sly Ichiban took it to Facebook the humble story of Cabasaran Primary School located in located in Lanao del Sur in Mindanao.
“They have from kindergarten till grade 3. Currently, they have almost 100 students enrolled. They cater the poorest of the poor. They also housed some of the victims of the Marawi siege. They have enrolled evacuees,” Ichiban tells WHEN IN MANILA.
He also says that school currently has 3 teachers. Other educators are volunteers that receive around Php 3,000 each month.
He said in his post that the sight of the school setting broke his heart, and is asking to help meet the needs of the students, such as school supplies, art materials, school uniform, shoes, etc.
“I never thought this kind of reality existed,” he said.
Ichiban says that structure repairs would be needed, as well as more educational materials for the pupils.
