Lemuria Gourmet Restaurant: Main Course
Now unto the main course, the Sea Bass (PhP 1,050). “Pan seared sea bass with mushroom risotto and french vierge” This was my and fellow writer, Alessi’s favorite dish for the night. We really liked the way the sea bass was cooked. It wasn’t too soft but was rather chewy and with texture. It takes one good chef to pull that off! The mushroom risotto on the other hand was to die for! When asked what his secret was, Chef Kevin simply explained that it was all in the timing of when to put certain ingredients in. Don’t leave Lemuria without trying this!
Lemuria’s Sea Bass with Mushroom Risotto: My Favorite!
Last but not least is the Kurobuta Pork Belly (PhP 945). “Slow braised Japanese pork then lightly browne, served with sarladaise potatoes, porcini mushrooms, roasted dried fruits and scented with red wine reduction” This dish on the other hand was Philippe’s favorite for the night. In his own words “Ngayon lang ako nakatikim ng ganon kalambot na pork belly!” (This is the first time I’ve tried pork belly that was that tender) The Kurobata Pork Belly is basically the counterpart of Wagyu. The potatoes around in are cooked in goose fat to add some extra flavor. Somewhere in the middle of that mouthwatering dish are figs and apricot to add a little sweetness to your meal.

Lemuria Gourmet Restaurant: Dessert
To complete our 6-course meal, we were given the opportunity to be the first to try out Lemuria’s newest dessert, their very own Picatostes. Picatostes are slices of fried bread, usually sweetened with sugar. According to Chef Kevin, this dessert was originally created by our “ancestors” to be able to recycle day old bread. However, Chef Kevin has his own version of Picatostes that will keep you coming back. He shares that Lemuria doesn’t use day old bread for their version of this delectable treat. Instead, they dip the bread in olive oil to get the same crispy effect. Similar to the all time favorite Spanish donut – the churros, picatostes is also dipped in chocolate. Lemuria uses Belgian and Felchlin chocolate for that bitter sweet taste while also adding in some macarons and vanilla ice cream for some extra sweetness.
The Picatostes will be available for the public starting September, so yo better watch out for it!
With Lemuria’s friendly and skillful staff, their mouth-watering dishes, wide selection of wines and overly romantic ambiance, how can you not want to go back? It’s heaven in Quezon City! So whether your dating someone, or simply want to show your parents or siblings how much you love them, Lemuria is definitely the place to go to! They have options for you to order a set of meals in 6-8 courses, or just do it ala-carte. Whichever way you choose to go, I guarantee, YOU’LL LOVE IT.
