Kris Aquino opened up about the status of her relationship with Batangas Vice Governor Mark Leviste through Instagram.
“This is a long overdue Gratitude post. Marc (yes it’s with a C) @markleviste is leaving to go home to fulfill his obligations to his Batangas constituents,” she wrote

The actress emphasized that Leviste wasn’t only her boyfriend but also her best friend and confidante. She clarified, “The usage of WAS is correct.”
Aquino also talked about her health condition and said it has gotten “progressively worse,” as she has been experiencing pain in her left leg and right knee, swelling in her lower back and knees, and purplish blue toenails.
She revealed that she asked Leviste for a “pause,” knowing a long-distance relationship would be difficult to maintain, especially with her health condition.

“I asked Marc for a pause because with my condition the way it is now, i’m self aware enough to know that a long distance relationship will be next to impossible for us to maintain,” [sic] she expressed.
She also mentioned how blessed she was to have her sons, Josh and Bimby, and reiterated that most mothers, particularly solo parents like her, wouldn’t want their kids to suffer from anxiety about their health.
“Thank you Marc for being here for me especially when my 2 ‘giants’ went home BUT our reality is that there’s a Pacific Ocean that divides us, a 15 hour time difference, and a 13 hour flight,” [sic] Aquino stated.
The 52-year-old expressed her support for Leviste’s career as a public servant and said that he will always have a place in her heart.
“We may not have had our ‘happily ever after’ but being sick has really taught me to look at the glass half full- thank you for giving me the chance to again experience the magic of Once Upon a Time,” [sic] she concluded.
In an Instagram Story, Leviste shared a black-and-white photo of Aquino’s Instagram post with the popular 1 Corinthians 13:4–8 verse, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.”

Leviste also posted on Twitter, saying “LOVE NEVER FAILS,” along with a yellow heart emoji that Aquino often uses in her social media posts.

The two sparked dating rumors in February 2023. However, neither of them directly confirmed their relationship.
