Kapow! Sandwich Factory's Explosive Ice Cream Sandwich Flavors!

When in Manila, and craving for a midnight snack, head over to Midnight Mercato at Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City and treat yourself to a sumptuous ice cream sandwich courtesy of Kapow! Sandwich Factory.

Have you ever taken a bite out of something and all that you can do afterwards is just kind of stare at what you’re eating in disbelief for a couple of seconds before proceeding to devour it? Yup, that’s pretty much what happened to me. I’m not kidding.

Manned by blockmates Pauline Pastor, Andrea Ang and Angel Murga, Kapow! Sandwich Factory started selling their products in Ateneo before setting up stall in Mercato. As the name implies, Kapow! sells ice cream sandwiches that are made up of freshly baked cookies and ice cream courtesy of FIC (Fruits in Ice Cream). They have a variety of ice cream and cookie combinations to choose from, so there’s bound to be an ice cream sandwich flavor for everyone!

If you’re daring, why not go for The Carnivore: candied BACON ice cream sandwiched between two candied BACON chocolate chip cookies. Sounds crazy, right? Give it a try and let me know how it goes, because I’m the type of person who always goes for her favorites, the White Macadamia and the Mint Condition. In fact, the only thing I don’t like is that you have to eat it quickly because after a period of time, obviously, the ice cream begins to melt thus eating it becomes a messy affair as the sandwich is only served in a plastic wrapper.

Anyways, messy eating aside, if you’re not one for ice cream sandwiches, don’t fret because they’ve got their newest creation to offer: The Blackout, a fudgy chocolate cake with the richest choclate frosting, dipped in dark chocolate and finished off with a dusting of cocoa powder! It screams “diabetes on a stick!”, but heck! I’m young and I like my sweets, and I’m pretty sure you’ll like this too!
