Kanye West Defends the “White Lives Matter” Shirt

Earlier this week, Kanye West wore a shirt with the words “White Lives Matter” on the back and many people weren’t happy with it. After all, the Anti-Defamation League has named it a “white supremacist phrase”.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, Kanye spoke up on the matter, pointing out that he cares about black lives and that “White Lives Matter” is a comment on the status quo. Read his full Instagram post here:

Kanye also appeared on Tucker Carlson Tonight, stating that he wore the shirt because white lives do matter. He also admits that he thought the idea of him wearing it was funny. What did you think of his shirt?
