Yeezus among us
Two weekends ago Manila was treated to a diversified festival experience that was the recently concluded Paradise IMF. We were floored by 4th Impact’s remarkable talent, witnessed a magical sunset session by Itchyworms, sang along to local favorites from the likes of Up Dharma Down, Hale, Giniling Festival and Maude, and were blown away by a powerful set care of none other than Mr. Yeezy himself. Those who still had some energy left in them partied on with Afrojack into the wee hours of the morning. Now that the season’s most awaited event has come and gone, we are actually left wondering what to do with the remainder of our summer days. Below, we relive some of our favorite moments at Paradise IMF (photos by Rafael Villanueva):

Wiz Khalifa opens his set with his hit “Black and Yellow”
Aseana concert grounds was packed!
Well, didn’t see that one coming
Finally, Yeezus takes the stage
Yeezy opened his set with his song “Stronger”
Then kept the momentum with his songs “Power” and “Black Skinhead.” He also performed “Famous,” “Waves,” “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1” and “Fade” ย from his new album, The Life of Pablo
The best part was that Kanye didn’t spare any of the hits! No hit song was left out as he sang all our favorites – “Touch the Sky,” “Good Life,” “All Falls Down,” even rapped his bit in “Niggas in Paris” and “Mercy”
My favorite part was his performance of “Runaway” towards the end of his set. Overall, his hour-long performance was insane!
Most of the bagets partied on to Afrojack after Kanye’s set. A spirited bunch, these ones!
Kudos to Paradise IMF 2016 for such an inspired set! This is definitely one of the most versatile music festivals we’ve gone to, and we hope to experience something similar in the future!
