During her recent guesting in “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Julia Montes was not spared from being asked about the ring she was wearing to the ABS-CBN Ball that was held last September 30, 2023, at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel which made many fans and netizens wonder if she is already engaged or married to Coco Martin.

“You were wearing a ring and people are speculating. Sabi nila, ‘Is that an engagement ring? Kasal na ba si Julia at si Coco?'” said Tito Boy during the Talk or Dare portion of his show that was posted on October 5.
“My question is, engaged na ba kayo? Kasal na ba kayo? Ano bang estado niyo ni Coco?”
Julia then chose to answer the question instead of taking a dare, although she did not outright confirm or deny the speculation.
“Siguro po let’s cross the bridge when we get there. ‘Yun lang, pwede ba ‘yon? Okay na po ‘yon, please,” she said.
When asked if she was happy, she replied, “Very happy.”
Julia also notably called Coco her life’s “knight in shining armor” during the interview and that he has been very supportive of her career since she made her long-awaited showbiz comeback in 2020.

This isn’t the first time that Julia has become the subject of engagement rumors. Back in August 2022, Dimples Romana posted photos and videos with her “Mara Clara” cast mates Julia and Kathryn Bernardo when they all reunited more than a decade after the TV show ended in 2011. In the said posts, netizens were quick to spot a sparkling ring on Julia’s hand.
It was only in May of this year, however, that Coco officially confirmed that he and Julia Montes had been together for 12 years.
“Napakasarap ng pakiramdam namin dahil 12 years na kaming magkasama, pero pareho pa rin tulad ng dati. Nilo-look forward namin kapag may project na magkasama kami and then kapag may pagkakataon, nakakalabas kami, nakikita kami ng mga tao pero name-maintain namin ang privacy sa buhay namin,” he was quoted saying. “Basta kami, hindi naman na kaming mga bata. Kung ano ‘yung nakikita at iniisip ng mga tao, ‘yun na ‘yun. Mas masarap ‘yung pakiramdam na pribado ang buhay namin, tahimik. Walang mga issue. Ito, masaya kami.”
Dating rumors between Coco and Julia began in 2012 ever since they were paired together for the TV series “Walang Hanggan” and, a year later, in the movie “A Moment In Time.”

Julia’s latest project is her new movie with Alden Richards “Five Breakups and a Romance” while Coco is busy with “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.”
