Jotel Inn: A ‘Sulit’ Hotel Experience in Davao Only 500 Pesos

Traveling to Davao on a budget? We found a perfect place to stay where everything is sulit! Along Quirino Avenue in Davao City, Jotel Inn opened last year. Owned by the Dacudao Family, the place accommodates all types of travelers – whether it be for business or leisure, or for families or backpackers.

Their lobby is so classy and stylish, you’ll think the rates are expensive; but don’t get intimidated upon entering! They’ve got affordable room rates with very satisfying services.

The lobby is my favorite part of the hotel. It’s bright, spacious and well-ventilated with the light coming in through its walls. The high ceiling and interiors of the whole hotel itself are all eye-catching. It has a 24/7 front office, too, so they can accommodate you even during the wee hours of the morning.

The hotel has an elevator which serves all four floors. Davao City is one of the safest places in the world, but Jotel Inn still has 24/7 security so everyone will feel more secure.

For only Php800 for two people, you can get a Matrimonial Room. Aside from a comfortable bed and airconditioning, you’ll get your own bathroom with a heater, free toiletries, a nook where you can study or work, and towels.

For people who really need it or can’t live without it, the WiFi connection here is really reliable and fast even on the fourth floor where we stayed.

They also have other rooms to fit your needs. If you’re traveling solo, they’ve got two options for you: a budget room at Php500 and a single room for Php650.

They also have rooms for groups – a Family Room with three single beds and a Barkada Room with four single beds. Both types are airconditioned, have a private bathroom with toiletries, free WiFi Internet Access, a hot and cold shower, a cable LCD TV, a telephone, and an electronic safe box.

The Family Room is good for three persons at Php1,500.

The Barkada Room is good for four persons at Php1,800.

Breakfast doesn’t come with the room rates, but their food is both great and affordable. They offer a breakfast buffet for guests for only Php99 per person! Sulit! The buffet serves mostly Pinoy favorites for breakfast.

They also have a restaurant where guests can order and eat their meals and snacks. You can even eat there for only Php199 if you’re not a guest.

If you don’t have the energy to go to the restaurant, you can order meals via phone from 11AM onwards. I tried their Pork Binagoonan for only Php120, which comes with rice and fruit.

A good hotel is also reflected in how the staff treats their guests. As for Jotel Inn, their staff members are some of the friendliest and most accommodating ones I’ve ever met. From the moment I entered until I checked out, they were very helpful and cheerful.

The hotel also has a luggage room, where you can keep your stuff safe if you arrive too early and want to roam around the city first. So, if you’re traveling to Davao soon and you really want to stay in a hotel with good value for money, Jotel Inn should be one of your top choices.
