Nobody probably saw this coming until Star Cinema dropped the teaser of its latest film starring ex-lovers Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia. In collaboration with VIVA Films, “Un/happy For You” will hit Philippine cinemas this 2024.

During the press conference, Joshua Garcia said he gave an instant “yes” when the project was offered. “Yes agad kasi ang tagal na rin kasi nung agwat nung nagwork kami. Before kasi mga teenager pa kami,” Joshua Garcia recalled. “Ngayon I can say na medyo nag-mature na rin naman kami.” Julia Barretto affirmed Joshua Garcia’s statement saying, “We’ve grown.”
“Ang exciting lang na, ‘di ba nagkanya-kanya kaming journey, and then parang ngayon magbabalikan kami…sa pelikula.”

Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia were in a relationship from 2017 to 2019. Their last project together was in the music video of Moira’s “Paubaya” in February 2021.
