Filipino-American comedian Jo Koy got tattooed by Filipino legend Apo Whang-od, the oldest tattoo artist in the Philippines.

On Instagram, Jo Koy shared photos from the memorable experience. He received the signature three-dot tattoo in Buscalan Village, Kalinga province.

“I’ve been blessed by the legend. Mahal kita (I love you) Apo Whang-od,” he captioned his post.

Fans were thrilled to see the post, with many expressing their joy and admiration online.

“I was blessed by her too! That trek is not for the weak. Welcome to the club!” one fan wrote.

Another social media user commented: “Such great pictures showing a grateful experience 🇵🇭💕. Travelling to Whang-od and getting blessed as well is on my list.”

In June, the 54-year-old stand-up comedian graced the Manila leg of “Just Being Koy Tour” at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Meanwhile, Apo Whang-od, a 108-year-old tattoo artist, is widely recognized as the last and oldest living practitioner of “mambabatok,” the traditional art of Kalinga tattooing.
