Jeremy Lin Donated P15 Million to Help Fight the COVID-19 Outbreak

Former NBA star Jeremy Lin has donated a little over $292,000 or around Php 15 million towards aiding the global fight against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

He shared the news in two Instagram posts over the past few days. Lin first talked about the donation he made with his basketball foundation in China. They donated RMB 1 million (which is nearly $143,000) to get medical equipment to Wuhan.

“Over the past few weeks, I’ve been monitoring coronavirus and the darkness it’s casted over the world. Lin’s second donation of $150,000 was made to UNICEF USA to help fight COVID-19 globally while partnering with governments.

“This donation is a drop in the bucket compared to the billions affected by the closing of schools, missed paychecks, etc,” he wrote.
