Jennifer Aniston joined Instagram, broke it, and set Guinness World Record

Jennifer Aniston created an Instagram account on Tuesday morning and posted her first photo, which went super viral and led to her breaking a Guinness World Record.

The viral photo that she shared on Instagram featured her fellow costars from the beloved but now defunct show, FRIENDS, namely Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay), Courteney Cox (Monica Geller), Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribbiani), David Schwimmer (Ross Geller), and Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing).

Upon posting, it caused a bit of trouble on Instagram due to the outpour of followers Aniston’s account. Some even reported having a hard time following Aniston’s account.

But while the Instagram issues have been fixed, there are some things that remain broken. Guinness World Records announced on Wednesday that Aniston had broken the record for the fastest time for an Instagram account to reach 1 million followers, reaching the milestone in just five hours and 16 minutes.

This feat has beaten the record previously held by the account @sussexroyal, the official Instagram for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. That account hit 1 million followers in April in a time of five hours and 45 minutes.

Congrats, Jen!
