After over a month since it was reported that singer-actor James Reid will officially be departing from Viva, his talent agency of seven years, James has decided to clear the air regarding rumors that his exit has affected all future projects with girlfriend and love team partner Nadine Lustre who remains under the management.

Speaking to Push, James clarified that his departure has not ruined his working relationship with Nadine. “It hasn’t been affected at all right now. We’re still working together. We’re all on good terms which is great. I just have a bit more freedom now, that’s all,” he said.
He also said that he has no plans of moving to another agency.
Although he’s become more focused on his music career and managing his own record label, Careless Music Manila, James assured that he won’t be abandoning showbiz just yet.
“I still plan to do big movies. I’m not giving up show business or anything. I still plan to do movies. I’m just waiting for the right project,” he shared.

James first joined Viva in 2012 where he went on to do hit movies Diary ng Panget (2014) and Never Not Love You (2018)—his last film with Nadine.
