On TikTok, Darren recreated his viral “Maui Wowie” performance — the same rendition of Kid Cudi’s 2008 hit that previously delighted fans and social media users when he performed it on the variety show “ASAP.”

“Ah gusto niyo ah HAHAHA Sasali na ako sa ginawa niyong trend! #DarrenEspanto #MauiWowie,” he captioned his post.
The video has already garnered over nine million views on TikTok. Days later, the clip finally reached American beauty content creator James Charles, whom netizens had been referencing for his similar vocal tone.

“I NEED TO SING WITH YOU,” the content creator commented.
Later on, the make-up artist recreated the viral trend as well.
“Genuinely cannot believe this isn’t my voice @Darren Espanto,” the beauty vlogger wrote.

A collaboration hasn’t happened yet, but netizens are hopeful to see the two hop on the fun together and keep the wholesome trend going.
