No matter what happens, Iza Calzado is proud to be a “daddy’s girl forever”.
The 35-year-old actress took to Instagram to post a touching tribute to her late father, actor and director Lito Calzado, in honor of his birthday. Her father succumbed to cancer in 2011.
According to the actress, her father would have turned 73 “if he was not called to the heavens a little too early”. Iza also shared that it has been painful thinking about her father in the past few months “maybe it’s because I am finally engaged and will be getting married this year – one of his much awaited moments in life.”

Daddy’s Girl Forever ❤️ Just want to publicly greet and pay tribute to my loving father, Lito Calzado, who would have turned 73 years old today if he was not called to the heavens a little too early. It’s been more painful for me to think about him the past few months. Maybe it’s because I am finally engaged and will be getting married this year – one of his much awaited moments in life. Maybe it’s because it’s been too long since I felt his warm embrace and hear his joy filled laughter. It’s probably all that and more. As I make my way to visit his resting place today, I take comfort in knowing his love and energy lives on and will always be with me. Love you, Tatay. Happy Birthday, Daddy-Yo! ?
